At 75, ESA still committed to St. Jude

In July 2006, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, St. Jude's largest 
third - party contributor, held its International Convention 
in Little Rock, Arkansas, in celebration of their 75th anniversary.

And while just over 30 of those 75 years have been spent helping St. Jude in the battle against childhood catastrophic diseases, the sorority announced they have raised $75 million in cash and pledges for St. Jude, 
a million dollars for each year they have been in existence.

ESA began its partnership with St. Jude in 1972, making the hospital the group's international philanthropic project. 
Since then, ESA has endowed the St. Jude Bone Marrow Transplant area in the hospital's Patient Care Center and the fourth floor of the ALSAC Tower.
Text Box: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a program being implemented across the state of Tennessee and other southern states that is open to all children under the age of 5 years and residing in a county that is part of the Imagination Library program. Imagination Library provides free books to children until their 5th birthday. One book is mailed to the child's home each month -- if you have more than one child registered in the program, each child will receive one book per month. All books are selected for the Imagination Library program by a panel of educators and are geared to the specific age of the child receiving the books.
2007-2008 SERC President Sondra Kucklick requested that SERC states support their local branch of the Imagination Library.  Current  SERC President Joy Lynn Tynes has continued requesting support of this project.

In 1982, the International Council adopted Easter Seals as its second international philanthropic project.  ESA has been a supporter of Easter Seals for 25 years, raising more than $5.7 million.     EASTER SEALS is the leading non-profit provider of services for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, and other special needs. For more than 85 years, Easter Seals has been offering help and hope to children and adults living with disabilities, and to the families who love them. Through therapy, training, education and support services, Easter Seals creates life-changing solutions so that people with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in their communities.

ESA Headquarters
ESA Headquarters provides administrative, business, leadership training, publication, and membership services that cannot be accomplished on a volunteer basis. Those who conduct the business of ESA Headquarters are paid staff.

ESA International Council
The International Council of ESA is the volunteer advisory board for the organization that organizes and conducts the annual ESA convention. The IC also provides advice and counsel in the conduct of general ESA business for state and local officers. This volunteer board is comprised of both elected and appointed officers.

ESA Foundation
The ESA Foundation is a public foundation that was established to enhance ESA's philanthropic endeavors and interests. The ESA Foundation is governed by a board of volunteer directors who administer educational, scholarship, and grant programs that benefit the general public. This board also works to ensure that the ESA Foundation remains in complete compliance with all government requirements pertaining to non-profit, tax-exempt organization.
